Art dump part 2

Hi, I'm back with more stuff.

The first one is a project that involved Frankenstein and some element of collage...well....with mine...aside from a color job...it was all collage in Photoshop....

This got a fairly nice review from my teacher...yay....and I didn't kill myself making it. So in the next assignment I decided to try doing it again. This one is an advertisment for a product...in my case I chose one of my favorite things- soccer- and created an advert for the legendary "Telstar" soccer ball....it is what is known as a soccer ball today, you know, black and white ball?

What was amazing about this one is that this took me.....ehhh....4 hours to do. The teacher took two looks at it, and said "You're done."

*jaw drops*

Soooo....right now, the answer to my illustration dilemmas is MAKE IT LOOK PRETTY WITHOUT DRAWING, unfortunately. *sigh* My drawing skills need to catch up ASAP I guess. ASAP may not be fast enough though. Oh well. At least I'm seeming to make SOME amount of progress in this class.

Media class is going okay...I'm getting hammered because of my shakey drawing skills, but there are worse people in that class....I was talking to one guy the other day, and apparently the teacher said flat out to him that he was going to fail the kid because he couldn't make nearly enough progress in a semester for him to pass him, and "I'm doing a service to you by failing you", that sort of bullshit I've heard before.

And my Scottish painting and figure teacher continues to be a total sweetheart. Yup. <3 him, no strings attached, no pressure...it allows me to deflate from my other classes, and just draw for the sake of drawing, ya know? This is the sort of class I miss sometimes, but I go to a school where it's my job to train for a commercial job, not create 'art for the sake of art'. Oh well.

*sigh* Life is tough here sometimes, but it's fine. I'm not as stressed out as I was last semester, and I'm not going to get that stressed out. If I screw up, I screw up. Life will go on either way, I'm not letting failure stop me again.
