New Year's and Maquettes for all!

Well, first off, Happy New Year, one and all! I had a bonzer New Year's Eve, hope you did as well. And heck, I 've already made my first drawing of 08'...in the form of a doodle on one of my friend's basement walls using UV paint and a marker....


Yeah, it looks like shit....but.....trust me, at that time, I wasn't comprehensive enough to make a GOOD picture, unfortunately. >_>

And, today I got to uh...step....2.5 of my Maquette. Mounted the armature on its base, and mostly bulked it up using aluminum foil. Next comes the sculpey....hopefully that won't take too long as I have to have this thing out by Friday or Saturday because I leave for Ringling on Sunday. (Ugh...I dunno how I'm going to box this thing so it doesn't break quite yet....unfortunately I already have 2 carry-ons so this can't come with me.)




And egad, nobody warned me of the unique smell epoxy putty has. Not as bad as epoxy the paste (UGH!) but still...special...>_<. By the end of this project my nose will hate me. (*Also has mineral spirits for the smoothing part...light-headedness..yayy.)

I'm chugging along.....gonna keep on goin....yup.
